Here is the 1:12 radar Patmat printed for me .
It has a micro servo hacked for a motor, I have to add a resistor to slow it down
It runs very smooth its the video that makes it look jumpy

For best motor control (for low current applications), don't just put a single resistor in series with the motor. Use a "voltage divider" with two resistors and a center tap, or a potentiometer (adjustable version of the same thing).
12v between Vin and ground; connect motor leads to the center tap and ground.
If the resistors have the same value, then you'll have 6v at the center tap.
