Xaircraft America Distributes 10" and 7" 5.8 GHZ Diversity Self Powered FPV Monitors!

Hey guys, sick of trying to keep all the wires on your FPV monitor looking clean and plugged in? Xaircraft America has imported some 10" and 7" 5.8 GHZ Diversity monitors that are self powered and ROCK!

Splash

Xaircraft America has imported some FPV monitors that keep your setup super-clean, are super easy to set up and work really, really well!

After toting around my FPV gear to many shoots, I realized that I needed something better. My monitors were mounted to a tripod that had a big 3S battery hooked up to a cable that went into the monitor, split off and then powered my video receiver. I had the receiver mounted to a piece of fiberglass that was screwed into the back of the monitor. Velcrow was everywhere and the entire thing looked unprofessional no matter how much I cleaned up the assembly. When I added a dedicated camera op to my operation a year ago, the mess doubled. Honestly I needed to find something better. I was speaking to my friend Drew from Xaircraft America, who besides dealing with the Xaircraft line of products imports and sells several other lines of gear including FPV systems. I was telling him how I was looking for a better monitor system, and he said he had just gotten in some 10" and 7" monitors that had built in power supplies, built in diversity 5.8 GHZ receivers and were super clean. I immediately jumped to attention and told him I'd take both sizes. the 7" for my radio and the 10" for my camera operator.

The monitors arrived in a few days, boxed well and were so simple to set up I was embarrassed I didn't find this earlier. The 7" monitor has a "channel search" function where it will find the active transmitted signal and lock on. The 10" has a simple jumper switch set up where you select the frequency your transmitter is sending and simply set the dip switches to the proper setting. Both monitors latched right on to the signal my ImmersionRC 600W TX was sending.

Both monitors come with the standard straight basic antennas, but screwing on your favorite Blue Beam or patch antenna is a breeze. I am easily getting 1000 feet+ of range with almost NO screen blips or fuzziness on both monitors. The 7" has a internal battery that you charge by plugging in the included charge cable. The charge is said to last 5 hours. I have not hit that limit yet, but the monitor has never died on me during a full day of shooting. (turning on and off during the day) The 10" comes with several different battery mounts allowing you to use several "canon" style camera batteries. The monitor comes with 1 battery and a charger but additional batteries can be found super cheap on Ebay and you will have enough power to last for DAYS!

With less to carry, with less cables to snag and the ability to move around with ease, the new monitors have become a must have in my eyes. They look professional, pack down easily and work great. What more could you ask for? The 7" 5.8GHZ Self Powered Diversity Monitor sells for: $199

The 10" 5.8GHZ Self Powered Diversity Monitor sells for: $249

And both are worth every penny!

Xaircraft America also offeres a tiny screen holder that mounts to your radios neck strap knob. It is PERFECT for the 7" monitor. But I think the 10" monitor likes to be on a tripod. It just works better.

For more information check out Xaircraft America!

Out of all the monitor I have used (I've bought them all)
Check my Blog for DIY goggles.
These 2 Monitors are the best screen FPV specific monitors I've
ever bought! 5" and 8"

The 10" monitor you posted in your review
is not bright enough. A lot of FPV'ers have
complained and returned that 10" back.
Overall, the brightest/and clear(est) is the 8".

The 5" is just as clear, its just the size is smaller.
I use that on my DIY goggles without the frame
to make it even lighter.

p.s.
those prices you listed are way overpriced!

These kind of FPV monitors seem to have either 32ch (or less) 5.8 Ghz RX + DVR but no internal battery, or 32ch (or less) 5.8 Ghz RX + internal battery but no DVR.

One with 32ch 5.8 GHz RX (diversity or single RX) + internal battery + DVR would be an instant FPV success! I've searched the internet for days on end, but could not find this combination. Anyone?

I'm using the RC800 (32 ch 5.8 GHz single RX + DVR) with a small (1100 maH 3S - good for an hour FPV) LiPo fixed on the back with velcro.

Get that 8".
Its the brightest, most clear video monitor
out there.

p.s.
I wish these vendors would actually either read
the forums about monitors or an easy PM to avid users
would generate sales for them.....

I have no experience with these so I cannot comment on the quality.

7" 5.8G 32Ch DVR that can hold a 2s internally
7" 5.8G 32Ch DVR with internal battery (apparently this one doesn't come with a charging adapter (http://www.banggood.com/Boscam-RX-LC...-p-917321.html)

Yes the 8" monitor is the best ones out now.
There are 3 of the same versions of it.
(no VidRx, 1 VidRx, and the Diversity version)
All of these 8" monitors are THE SAME Exact Ones!!!!
Works best w/Boscams VidTx.
(The FatShark/ImmersionRC VidTx has some sync issues,
it works up close, but don't know what happens 500ft away)

Just take your pick! and its not $199

XAirCarft would of sold a lot of these only if they used the right monitor
(j/k, sell what you want, its not my company)

@homeslice976:

7" 5.8G 32Ch DVR that can hold a 2s internally
-> Thanks for pointing this one out! Indeed this Skyzone RC 700D or SKY-700D has it all: 32ch 5.8 GHz diversity RX + internal battery + DVR. Seems to be out since end of April 2014, too late for me since I already bought the RC800 two months earlier.

7" 5.8G 32Ch DVR with internal battery (apparently this one doesn't come with a charging adapter (http://www.banggood.com/Boscam-RX-LC...-p-917321.html)) -> This RX-LCD5802 has no DVR function...

That 8" Lumenier looks good. Anyone know how it compares to Black Pearl that seems to be all the rage these days?

Also, it seems to be out of stock for US suppliers...

I don;t know about the Black Pearl, but this 8 inch served me well over 3 days this past weekend of 8 hour days in Hot sun, I was able to see everything I needed to no matter where in the sun I was.

I really Like the 8" and my cam op is very satisfied with the 10" mounted to a tripod.
