Funjet... FAN!!! [real EDF]

Hi guyS!

I wanted to show you my progress in building my third funjet but... this time i wanted it... FANjet !!!

i decided for a quite extreme setup!

EDF: Wm400 Mk2
MOTOR: Het 2W25
ESC: Dualsky80A
Lipo: Flightmax 2650 40C

i didn't finished yet... but iesterday i tried a motor run with wattmeter...

impressive! 1400W !!! the fan is really screaming!

i'm wondering if that motor will last some flight o will die immediatly... any experience?

at the end, here you are some picture!

last but not least, I modified the wings cutting down the tanks to gain some more speed and imho it's just really beautiful whitout that and with this microjet-feeling

have you got experiences with 2w25?

how many "real" watt can it take?

is it better if I limit the throttle channel? to limit the total power for example 1200w?

or i can trust to fly as it is taking care of a good throttle management?

I did the funjet the same way, but

hand launched it and went in hard. Make sure you launch it proper way. I would suggest a Bungie launch to avoid problems. I have destroyed two jets from hand launches.

Correction:

You've destroyed two jets from crashes related to hand launches.

To me,you will be lucky that fan does not rip off that little bit of foam you have it glued onto.Maybee some CF under wood running up towards the front would transfer some of the load off rear of jet.Also,1400 watts eh?That battery may be 40c but it wont hold the amps very long, will be a short flight. What were the amps at?

This is two of the funjets from Ocala, FL. The orange one was very very fast probable 150+, not very good in the turns though. They were racing them.

the fan is just not only glued! there are 4 55mm long bolts wich pass under the wing and there is a second parts of wood in wich they bolts up! as a sandwich!

right for the flight time but with this power obviously i'll be at wot only a very few seconds, probably it will fly FAST at only 50% gas!

i've got also a 3000 30C and 3300 30C to use... in case!

the last question I didn't understand very well what you mean, if you whant to know where i putted wattmeter it was between battery and esc!

battery --> wattmweter --> esc --> motor
