I've some questions regarding Chargers

Hi,

I have some RC vehicles (heli, ...), and I'd like to buy a decent charger for it.
On HobbyKing, I found these two:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7028
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5548
The reason I'd take the Turnigy one, is because Turnigy seems a higher quality brand to me (not sure though), and because it seems to have an integrated fan.
The reason I'd choose the iMAX is because it can be connected to PC through USB, which would be a huge plus to me.
So my questions are: is a fan necessary for a charger?
Does the Turnigy one feature the option to connect to PC too?
I read that the iMAX had rather bad voltage readings. Is this still the situation; if so, how are the readings compared to the Turnigy one?
At HobbyKing I can't found anything about the discharge speed of the Turnigy, can someone tell me what it is in Amps?
And last question: I'd also need a power supply. Is this a good one?:

If you know other chargers that would fulfill my requirements, feel free to tell. I'd rather not pay more than 30$, excluding shipping, or else I'll have to pay customs.

Thanks for assistance in advance!

Turnigy and quality are not synonymous. With that being said, you aren't going to get much more for $30. I'd recommend investing in a Hyperion, but you're quite a few dollars short of one.

Hi!
Thanks for your answer; but I don't think I'm able to convince my parents to let me dish out more than 120$ on just a charger. I don't need a state-of-the-art charger. Isn't there anything of a more reasonable price? Is the quality of iMAX and Turnigy that bad?

You'll be fine with the chargers from Hobbyking.

That power supply you listed is only 60W, you might want to get something better or read the DIYs on building PC power supplies. I'd look for a DC power supply no less than 10A at 12-15V. If a charger needs a fan, it'll have on built in, most do. The PC stuff isn't necessary, at your price point, $30, I wouldn't be too picky.

I have a spare power supply from my Dell I9400, which is 90 watt, but has only a 4.62A output (less than the 5Ampere), and 19.5V output, which seems too much as the chargers only can handle 11 to 18V.
I also don't see why I would need more than 60W if the charger itself only need 50W to operate on. Or would you suggest me buying another, heavier charger like the iMAX B8?

The Turnigy works very well My first bought a couple of yrs ago workes so well I bought another. Both see a lot of use with no problems. Go by the reviews on KH. They tell the bad stuff as well as the good.

Thanks again for replying.

I saw this on HobbyKing:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6590
It comes with a temp probe, has an internal fan and it comes with the required USB cable too. That being said; it seems perfect for my needs.
Is the power supply I listed in my first post (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6477) compatible with it?
And a last question: some of my batteries have small tamiya plugs. What are the plugs delivered standard with the GT A-6? If no tamiya plug is present, where can I buy a "conversion" wire which is compatible with the charger?

Again thanks for your time

Can the Turnigy Accucel 6 be connected to PC?

No. But personally I don't see a need for it as all I need to kmow is on the screen and most of my charging is done out at the field.
P.S. I do have an FMA Accucel 6 that will plug into the computer and I use it maybe once a year for problem batts. It's an expensive charger,

That's a pity; as I'd really like connecting it to my PC.
Is this charger any good?
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6590
And would it work with this adapter?

AC/DC (no power supply required) 10 amps and 80 watts

IMO Better charger for just a few dollars more.

Thanks for your input, but I live in Europe, so it would probably be more expensive if you include shipping costs for it. Another downside is that it is delivered with a standard US plug, and I don't have the correct cable lying around with EU connections.
Otherwise, if I would live in the USA, then my descision would be quick made, but now I'm still more considering this one:

with this charger:

If anyone could tell me whether the charger is compatible, and whether the quality of the GT charger itself is any good

Do you think you would use that very often?
