Any suggestions for what plane to buy with a 2826 1340KV engine?

Appreciate the tips... I am new to this hobby, and find it a bit hard to figure out the right size plane for the motor I have. So if any here have any tips on which plane that could use this motor, i'd appreciate it a lot!

Best regards Bjorn Erik

do you have a link to the motor? btw, if you're new the plane would be a trainer.

You really need to fit the motor to the type and size plane.

I know this is not what you ask but hope I helped a little.
Try to find someone near you to help you to mentor you It will save you many dollars.

A 2826-1340 (~58g) would probably suit an 8x4 prop on 3s (~15A/160W). That limits your choice of plane.... no fast pusher jets!

Aha... nomenclature!!!!

Sorry, I was envisioning a 2212 stator motor (2826 external dimensions).. not your AXI which has a 2826 stator.

That's why we need to specify exactly which motor we have in the initial post when asking questions.

Now with 500W capability we can search for a suitable 4lb-6lb trainer. But I'm puzzled as to which AXI you have: 2826/8 is 1150Kv, 2826/6 is 1500Kv.

You could electrify one of these, or something of similar size: http://www.radicalrc.com/item/Sig-Kadet-LT-25-104494

Cheers, Phil
