Hey guys,

I'm thinking of making this my next plane, after the champ and Pitts (the latter I can fly fairly easily--nothing fancy, mind you--at 90% rates, no expo) and was wondering if someone can explain how to fly 3D? Is there special settings on the tx? I see videos of this plane flying very, very slowly, at times vertically, in place, while doing rolls--what the heck is going on there? Sorry for the newb question but this looks like a very different flying experience that I'd like to explore.

Edit: I did look at Michael Wargo's instructional videos about 3D flying, but if anyone has any other tips, I'm all ears. It looks like I'll need quite a bit of expo--which I'm not familiar with using--and large control surfaces...and maybe a lot of patience. This is probably way harder than it looks.

My suggestion is to just go out and try it! But keep your plane nice and high to recover from inevitable mistakes. I found that watching lots and lots of instructional videos wasn't very helpful to me at all. But I fly 3d pretty darn well, and figured it all out on my own.

There's no rule that says you need to fly 3d maneuvers down low.
