Here's my little flying wing.

I never seem to fly the same path twice.

Awesome pics!

Speaking of flying the same path twice... I've always wanted to put lights on my IMAC craft and take a long exposure to see how terrible my lines really are.

That qualifies as art! You could frame those and sell them. I'm not kidding.

Those are awesome.

Here's my newest plane, a Stevens Aero SkyBoy 600 on its maiden night flight.

That looks awesome. The blocks of color remind me of a certain kind of stained glass lamp.

Very cool looking plane!

My early nightfliers just had strips of lights on them and that's what they looked like in the air at night...strips of lights.

Planes look much better when they glow from the inside, like the Sky Boy.

Just made a couple of built up wings, 30" and 42". Haven't flown them yet (a foot of snow on the ground, snowing like mad, 6 degrees F and 20 mph winds right now).

Just a couple of light strips on the inside. The white ones are 5050, which seem to be the brightest. They are connected to the 3 cell battery balance plug. The blue ones on the smaller plane are not as bright, but they work well. The red ones on the bigger plane are not quite bright enough.

The "headlights" are just cheapie 12 VCD LEDs wired to the ESC supply wires and the strobes are 4.5 volts and just connect to the receiver.

The strobes really show up, even in broad daylight

42 and 30 night flying wings (1 min 28 sec)

Very cool!

Like you, I first put my LED strips on the outside, facing out. But I quickly discovered I liked them better glowing from the inside. I have some plain white foam planes that are solid / not hollow, but I put the LEDs on the outside of the wing, facing in, for a similar effect.

Those are really pretty! What are the strobes exactly? Do you have a link?

Yep, those strobes are pretty bright.

I haven't put any one my quads yet, but plan to do so.

I've used Flytron strobes........
