Topspin applied the C gear one of the EPS power systems listed on this link, http://www.gwsus.com/english/product...eps28-bl15.htm probably you have to contact service@gws.com.tw if Caliber does not carry it. Better to add the 28mm heat sink to the motor for the best performance. GW/EHS-400 http://www.gwsus.com/english/product...eps28-bl15.htm or GWACS021 http://www.gwsus.com/english/product/other/gwacsxxx.htm But you have to work on the heat sink further for fitting the motor better.

Thanks to you twn Chen. I have the Caliber website and will look for the power system you suggest. I think maybe I can get the same system but I use the heatsink on the EPS-400C for my Estarter and I know what you are saying about the modification.

I will send a Email to the Caliber and ask if they have this power system or they can get one.

Look on hobby king's site and they have Changesun rotating retracts that are about the right size. I've been meaning to do the same to mine but its been backburnered for awhile.

I got a pair from Ming over at Windrider.com.hk. these are the new version with metal trunions. I can post some pictures later. The work well with the axles from Eflight.

i got a p40 3years ago for my birthday. only just managed to get it home (it was in sweden)
think it should be built in a few weeks. going to the aluminium look using foil tape. got one question though...... does it affect the signal for 2.4ghz when the airframe is cladded in this stuff?

It might be affected by the aluminum foil tape. It's better to have a ground test and a range check to see how far that the Rx antenna(s) need to be kept away from the foil, and do not leave them at inside of fuselage, as the wave might not be able to penetrate the foil. Just my two cents.

totally agree. antennas need to be on the outside of foil.

maybe il fly this 35mhz and trail the antenna. think 2.4ghz will struggle with a huge mass of aluminium in its way.

It will add to the weight, why not go for aluminum colored paint? This bird is a great flyer, quite a little hotrod really. IMO keeping it as light ad possible would be beneficial.

What does everyone use for a spinner? I tried a dubro one but the back plate was huge and the prop would not fit. Plus the spinner was out of balance right out of the package.

Tower has a light weight 3" spinner in red, black and yellow. The back plate is aluminium and not quite the right size. The back plate is an odball size, I had to do a lot of sanding to the prop ring to fit right. Not perfect, but it works. The du bro 3" spinner is massive and caused me a lot of torque issues, yes torque, not p-factor.
