I'm making something ...
I don't like working with plans so I make everything like I think it should be.
I bought a 90 mm edf from haoye models.
I took the motor out (4300Kv brushless inrunner) and mounted a 4,5 x 4,5 prop onto it!
Gave it a test while holding the motor and it gives ALOT of thrust.
I was too scared to go on at half throttle
So I want a plane for that motor.
This is what I have so far:
LOOK AT MY MOTOR MOUNT:
It just clicks onto the plane. I can take it off and use it on other planes...
I think it's more then strong enough!
And a 60A esc:
I will use 3s 3300Mah 20C lipo's
Gonna give it huge skids so I can taxi/glide it over the grass.
I don't like to handlaunch it with a prop spinning at 50.000 rpm

Let me know when your Lego unclicks itself in the air
Very clever but you might want to bolt or screw it before you turn it loose. I had a motor suddenly shoot out in front of the plane by itself once. Fortunately, the plane fluttered down like a leaf. It took a passerby who witnessed it and I about 5 minutes to find the motor and prop in the tall grass. It was a stick mount and I forgot to screw the gearbox down.
It would have made an amusing video.

a 3300mah 3s battery may be a bit heavy for that amount of wing... from my experience. But with enough speed and the right cg it will propably fly.
I hand toss... and I still have 2 fingers left to control it with

Hey, very nice vids
I just tried mine, it was going like a rocket over the grass
but no lift, the nose too much down, can't get in the air.
So I added 2 small pieces of depron on the front of the 2 skids to get it a bit higher.
It took off ! fast ! and then did some crazy ass stunts before I could get it on the ground again.
I think it was WAYYY to much tailheavy.
Will have to glue some parts again now ...
This was my funniest flight ever
2nd test soon ...
