Another weekend, another crash.
But this one is bad. Real bad.
Possibly terminal for the YS-X6.
35m drop onto asphalt.
BIts of the cover were spread out over 20m.

crash 3k 720p (2 min 46 sec)

Perfectly calm day.
Overcast.
Took off.
While manoeuvring craft into position, YS-X6 cuts motors.
I am stumped why it did this.
Not glitch
Not wind/shake
Not tilt.
Not manual motor shutdown
Not low battery

Wifi module would not power back.
Have not tested FC on it's own via the comport.

Damage: lots
But the frame came off fine this time.
Loving the low shake value of the new frame.

edit:
Check all YS components.
All DOA
Hopefully I can get it replaced under warranty as I can not see it being a user error this time.

Motor 4 is almost at 30 - 35% before it starts to spin up. This happened once before some time ago but went away...I don't know why but I figured that I must have carried out something incorrectly. The YS-X6 driven quad has been sitting idle for the most part of 6 weeks while waiting for a new quad boom to arrive from the manufacturer (it got modified a bit following a drop of around 20 feet. The YS-X6 is well protected in this quad frame and I am fairly sure it did not suffer any external damage but maybe a jolt like that did some internal damage to the FC, etc. Any views, ideas, etc. would be most welcome.
I have this issue sometimes, but I just kick it in the guts and take off. It's fine.

GPS Glitch

I was flying with 2 4sx5000 batteries for the first time(still minus my WIFI antenna) and it was flying fine at about 10 minutes into the flight (I had been hovering at about 5 ft just to see how long the batteries would last when al of a sudden it just started darting off on it's own. I brought it back let go of the sticks and the same thing happened. I had a solid green light at the time. I tried to switch to either manual mode and the green light stayed on and it started behaving like it had a mind of its own. Finnally I had to bring it down hard breaking my landing gear and when I walked over to it I had a solid white light. Would the missing WIFI antenna cause this or does anyone else have any ideas what would. I tested my batteries when I got home and they tested at 3.75 per cell.

Perhaps it was trying to return to home on low voltage?

Without a Hj/log file there is not much we can do.

From manual pg 47
"When the Speed data got from the Kalman filtering data fusion using the GPS
data is too large the LED will be solid white ,need to land the aircraft urgently ."

Could mean there was a gps issue.

Should not have affected manual 1/2.

If it was staying solid, it was not switching modes properly.
Are you sure you manual mode switch works?

Best to email to interested parties as it contains your serial and flight location.

pm'ed.

For those that do not want to fly with a gcs but still want logging.
This would be a possible solution.

Maybe your craft has one crash to many maybe the gyros is hay wire.

I would sugest mount the GPS the way it is intent to be mounted on the pole post.

Do a fresh build motors right way up and start from scratch and take it step by step.

Or invest In a

Copter airbag system LOL
