Just finishing up the Eflite F-86..

And have a question.. should I cut the airflow hole in the bottom for the ESC? I do live in Dallas and temps are over a hundred degrees outside.. however I have never had an over heating problem with the Habu I yanked it out of.. I don't fly full throttle all the time either.. Any last minute suggestions before I maiden it tomorrow? I did put a towhook in it with no problem.. right at 2/3rd from the nose to the CG.. Thanks in advance..

Cut the hole, not worth the risk. 100+F is hot.
If it bugs you that much cut a smaller hole then the instructions recommend.

yes better to have some cooling ...i have even put holes in my intakes ,i glue some screen over it to prevent FOD, then i put the esc right where the hole is . the intake will suck some air over it .of course you needa a hole or opening in front so it can bring some air in too .gear door or a naca shaped scoop.

Anybody have to add weight and move the battery as far froward as possible to get he CG right? Im might have over done the glassing of the towhook.. just to make sure it wouldn't come loose.. Im about 5.5 inches from the leading edge of the wing..

I added 1/2 oz up front along the inake tube against the fuse, it helped alot.
