Every quad is different. MultiWii/APM/etc machines are something different entirely, but they need to be tuned to the user's specific build and requirements (and that can take a while when you're starting out with them).

I have a custom 107D - loosest sense of the word - that performs NOTHING like a typical X4. This is a 107D frame, motors and Rx board, but with no camera/vtx nor LEDs. Handles like a demon - difficult compared to a stock standard X4.

My V212, V272, X5C, GV2, JXD388, etc all perform differently. Some "easier", some more "difficult" to control (the Vitality H36, gyro-only, is probably the trickiest). Bigger = (usually) more stable, but be prepared - not all cars drive the same; not all quads fly the same
