Its never been a issue with me. the only problem with polorized lenses is it's hard to read anything with a LED display.

These have been awesome! I have a gigantic head so the fact these fit me really well is a great thing, something I don't usually find. I've found they're very good at protecting my eyes from the wind. The best thing is the interchangeable lenses. If it's super bright I use the black iridium polarized. If its overcast persimmon are awesome; make it easier to see the plane and turn the sky orange; makes winter feel like summer, haha!

Zurich will take a set of standard sunglasses frames of your choosing and have prescription lenses cut to fit with your prescription and choice of lense coverings that the offer. I had a set done by them and they came out fantastic and will go back to them if I need anymore. I just went to a sunglasses shop and decided which ones I liked and sent him the make/model along with the prescription from my eye doctor. Great service

I've heard you don't want polarized since depending on angles of vision and such it can cut down on what you see. I love them for fishing due to glare on the water but I'm thinking of getting a pair or prescription sunglasses for flying, just run of the mill grey smoke.

I wear contacts for sports, but regular glasses for flying. I also do not wear sunglasses when flying. I wear them and take them off when I'm ready to fly. Go figure. I never ever fly unless the sun is at my back, so no real problem. I also wear a hat. We have the luxury of more than one field so in the afternoon, we cross over to our nothern field and keep the sun behind us. They are only about 300 yards away.

If he flies RC and needs glasses he may have very good advice.

My doc suggested a yellow/beige lens as they help define the target similar to shooting glasses. Worked out great for me

Doesn't hurt to do both! Can I trust my Optometrist to give me the right advice as to best color for RC Flying? I don't really know....

i can get 2 sets of glasses under my insurance. i think im gonna go with something for overcast days and something for sunny days.

but yea dont know if i can trust my Optometrist to give me the best advice either.

yellow, orange, red (in some cases like hot bright countries) work really well for bright sunny fields. for flying fields with regular dark clouds or murky skys use a light green or blue.

works for me.

Try polarized clip on sunglasses.
