RZ-24-3650 and Moto Calc
I have found Moto calc and Pcalc very helpful and accurate up until now. Here is the set up and measured result.
Cobri gearbox at 4.5:1
APC 12x6 prop
The real world test draws between 14 and 15 amps @ 9.5V about 135 watts (not a fully charged battery). Both Moto calc and Pcalc suggest this setup should draw aboout 20-21 amps, about 200 watts. I used the motor constants published on the Razor web page. I even counted the teeth on the pinion and spur just to make sure.
One other thought I had was that the motor was labled wrong and it was a 3250 but the current draw is still to low based on the program estimates.
This isn't really that big of a deal because I can change the gear ratio to get the required power. I am just curious if anyone else has had similar results.
