I'm almost convinced you're correct. I put my little cup canopy from my 929 on my v959. I flew it in some wind and I liked the way it handled.
I also think being small and round the prop wash has less affect on it.
More testing is necessary though.

And I can see the board LED and bring it down when I see the low batt warning.

The videos I am posting is without a canopy... I find more than the balloon effect of the canopy... Weight is the issue.. Just make it lighter .... If I took the fpv kit out of the current hybrid it would weigh 66g with flight battery and then add whichever accessory eg HD camera @9g

The props are the gws 5443 props.. I feel they are a must for the v9x9 series..

The wide angle lens is great but I think a standard lens will give a more detail picture close up as u are indicating problem is I bought camera with lens d.. I have to see if another lense will fit or I have to buy a specific lens for the 808 camera

Anyone have problems with the 959 board... Lately I found two issues.. Some times in mid flight the quad will respond weirdly and turn off one motor for a second... And cause a crash.. Not a motor problem bench testing is fine.the other problem is the quad sometimes rises even when the throttle is decreased.. And then dives to the right or left... Luckily I was able to recover and then fly normally .. These are very sporadic... But not comforting..

after flying my v939 v959 seems very phlegmatic, but I don't fly it much as nothing to videotape now plus no battery( I use one from old coaxial heli and it's heavier then stock and wider
I think I've seen sudden falling of v929 on youtube. Imagine if that happen to 250 brushless monster? even my outraged AR Drone scared me once. that's why I love those little quads- no danger to public

Well I took it to my club field today and hoped to have a video to share tonight, I just watched it and it's a slide show. Not viewable at all. Like 2 or 3 frames/sec. I used it once before at the house and it worked fine. What gives?

There was one time that I brought the it to the park loaded with the same micro SD card, when I was back home, the video was like going at fast forward 2x speed. It was fine when I tried it again. Till today, I have no idea what was the cause and it never occurred again. *Fingers crossed*

What button did you press?

The top one, for video, it was saved in the video folder. It should have not been that bad. Like I said it worked at home for a 1 minute video. This was longer and about 600 megs!

Are these parts same as 929 parts? I'm looking for replacement parts on ebay. Didn't want to wait 4 weeks from banggood. If not could you guys let me know where else to get them with decent shipping?

I found this note while reading through a Chinese V959 thread.

After connecting power:

Red wire: +5V
Black wire: 0V
Yellow wire: +3.5V
White wire: +3.5V

When photo button is pressed, White wire goes to 0V then goes back to +3.5V.

When video button is pressed, Yellow wire goes to 0V then goes back to +3.5V.
