What would be the best receiver battery for this setup using Futaba Flight Pack with an R127DF Receiver and 4 S3004 Servos?

The stated Futaba Flight pack includes a 4.8 v x 600 ma battery pack.

You COULD use a 6.0 v x 600 ma also. Adds a little weight, but speeds up the servos considerably.

..if you were paraniod, you could do like I have and use a 6V (5 cell) 1800mAh pack..

Servos will draw about 20-30% more power from a 6V pack than a 4.8V pack, so in order to get the same flight time from a 6V pack, youll need to get a higer capacity than the 4.8V pack.

The 4.8V 600mAh pack is the standard, and with 4 s3004 servos, you should get better than 50 minutes flight time before the batteries get questionable. But as is good practice, check your bats before each flight, and if in doubt at all.. charge 'em.

A charge is a cheap insurance against losing your plane due to dead batteries.

i second what jason says and a plus is that if a cell goes bad you still have
the original 4.8v that the system needs.mike
