Softstart mode - Heli fast: just flip to idle1 and go fly... pass!
Govenormode - with active flywheel enabled : Headspeed nice and constant and heli feels powerfull in all moves. no bogging.... pass!!

Weight: 60g with connectors. its a bit heavy, as a Plush 30Amp + Sbec also work fine at 30g, but the weight gain is not all that noticeable.

This is the only item still on backorder for my 450 build. Your video confirms that it's worth waiting for.

Thanks!

With the shaft snapping, it could be the mesh was not setup correctly, grub screw into pinion too tight and fractured the shaft or just a weak shaft in the 2218H motor.
The 2218 has a weak shaft, it is 3.17 mm where the pinion fits but steps down to 3mm where it goes into the can, and that is right where it snapped.

Update: programmed the esc. I soldered motor connections, esc and ubec. I used the XT60 connectors for the esc. I did a bind process to my receiver, hooked all the servos, esc and motor. Everything powered up and worked great!

I am so excited. I hope to be done with the kit for this weekend.

Is the "flat spot" for the pinion screw on the shaft on the wrong side? Should it at the bottom of the shaft. instead of at the top?

Both are similar, stability depends on electronics. Read a few pages back, alot of suggestions on electronics.

Perhaps you can install the pinion upside down on this motor

Seriously, it looks like a nice motor. I have one from this series on my 250 and its nice for its price. Smooth and powerful now, BUT it came with terrible bearings in there. I hope this mother is better build.

Any info about the inner shaft diameter? I sure hope its 4mm and not 3,17 or 3mm.. Its hard to find 3,17 ID bearings and impossible to find 3mm shafts with 3,17mm ends.

I was just thinking of selling one of my HK450's. The one with all blue aluminum and the scary movie canopy, but I thought I don't want to pack it all up and I don't think I would get that much out of it. Even though it's never been crashed and is all set to fly. I just took it up last weekend and thought is was such a slug after flying my 450pro and the 250's. To change it would cost more than I am willing to put into it and it would still be nothing but a old 450se.

That is when a idea hit me. Slap some training gear on that and give it to one of your boys, but is that child abuse? Getting your own son addicted to a drug this strong? ohh the humanity's
