New Product
Hacker Me 163 Komet

The brand new Hacker Me 163

Wingspan: 73cm
Length: 48cm
Take-off weight: 290g..350g
Motor: Hacker A20-S
ESC: 12A
Prop: 6 x 5
Material: EPO

Recommended Lipo Battery: Hacker TopFuel Eco-X 500mAh-3S

Uprade for "High-Speed" : optional High-Speed Set: A20-12L 10pol, X-30 Pro, APC-E 4,7x5,5, TopFuel 900-3S ECO-X

Maiden with standard Setup (absolutely sufficient speed available):

Aileron Settings: lower edge ailerons - upper edge wings

Half throttle, then push her easily in the air (angle 1 to 10 degrees is enough).
Full throttle let her fly out of sight in a few seconds!!!
In general she is uncritical to fly and precise to control in any situation. Loops, rolls etc., no problem for the "Komet". After cutting the throttle she becomes a wonderful sailplane. So very nice scale flying at any speed is possible.

A great new scale Me 163 with Hacker electronics inside!

Available in 2 versions. Red and Camouflage.

The Red one is the historical version of the Me 163 B-0 (Me 163 V41) Erprobungskommando 16, pilot Wolfgang Späte, Maiden 13th of May 1944 in Bad Zwischenahn Germany. To be lucky with this plane it was painted red (RLM 23) like Manfred Richthofens planes in WW1.

Conclusion: AWESOME!!! Perfect Setup to have a powerful Me 163 Komet for any style of flying. Stunts, high speed low passes, even slow flying, she does all you want her to do!
Love this little beauty! She is one of my favourite planes now!

Next step is modding.
Only antennas and MGs, flexible of course, and maybe some more scale letterings and details to add... and a bright red LED combined with the ESC as afterburner in the exhaust.

Some work would be a retractable skid and a retractable tailwheel. The dropable gear is a challenge, but not impossible to construct.

Nice size model and it sounds as though it's got the power when and if needed, anyone know of a dealer in the UK that is selling this model? if not i doubt the postage would be to expensive form Germany, though there are a lot of local model shops that stock a lot of Hacker gear so i would of thought they would soon be stocking this.

I thought i'd post a link to the Durafly version that should be out in the first weeks of April (2015) it looks to be a little bigger than the Hacker version,i hope it doesn't upset anyone on this thread as i found this model on the Durafly ME-163 thread that someone posted,so i thought why not return the favor and share the Durafly one even if it's not out as of yet.

Link to the Durafly ME-163 Komet thread.

The Hacker is a nice size model.
Looks like it could benefit from a filling of the silly panel lines and a coating of Glass Cloth /WPU.
Giant aileron linkages seem a bit worrisome But likely easily fixable.
Hope it's not priced beyond the Budget.

what's your budget? in Europe it's listed at 140 Euros

- just like the Robbe / Sky Angel Funfighter Komet, which has 1.2 inches smaller wingspan - both should be in the shops any time soon, but Robbe is broke and looks for an investor, so that might be slowing down things.,..

I see that they are listing a "kit" for Eu39 which is a very comfortable AU$54. I wonder how much shipping would be..HK...look out....lol

Argh! So frustrating, right? You'd think they would at least ship a container of 'em somewhere over here to an agent, so U.S. pilots could grab one.
