Help!
Damaged Elapor foam

I have a Multiplex plane that is made of Elapor
that the aileron got slightly crushed and warped. I read somewhere
that you can use Hot Water to restore the foam. Is that correct?
If so, whats the procedure? Thanks

I poor boiling water into a large bowl and dip the miss shaped.foam in holding there for a.few.seconds and checking....u don't want to leave it to long else the foam cells will notice.like orange.skin
Some people cover in a cloth and gently iron over.to get.the heat in .....

Yep foam soup is the answer. You can pour the water over the part, and if need be pull on the foam to help it. Do it in steps to work it back into place. If you get the foam too hot, as stated it will expand the beads too much. Easy fix, take the back side of a spoon and rub them down flat.

Elapor Soup. Seach for it here, should be plenty of examples. Here is one of mine ....

Do not get the water too hot, work slow and deliberate. Use wood braces, etc. to help with the bending. As you can see from my example above that careful planning and work will deliver excellent results for you.
