Free plan: Glenny & Henderson Gadfly by Sherman Gillispie
Here's another one. Its the Glenny and Henderson "Gadfly", an entrant in the well known British Limpne Trials for ultra-light airplanes in the early and mid 1920s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lympne_...ircraft_trials). This one was designed by Sherman Gillispie and was a plan in the April 1955 Model Airplane News. Anything Sherman Gillispie designs will fly fantastically well and this is one of his best. I have built four models from this plan over the years beginning with my April 1955 issue of MAN when I was fifteen. Its the BEST flying scale rubber model I have ever built! If you can't get this one to fly great you should give up and find something like collecting stamps for a hobby.
Use the .PDF file to build from. Have fun! Planeman |

I don't see a DT in the pics: http://www.hallmanstudio.com/Gadfly_2.jpg
Its Tom Hallman's 36" span Gadfly. I'm guessing it was a dawn flight, judging from the fog and lack of wind. Tom's got a whole slew of interesting rubber scale videos on his YouTube account. |
