HHAEFI V7 Hodges Hobbies All Electric Fly-In V7 October 11-13 2012 See Post 17 for a link to Registration Are you ready? The best fall electric fly-in in the Southeast is back! Bigger, better, and more fun than ever! It is still early but I think it is time to start this thread. There is already a lot of interest and this year seems to be shaping up to be the biggest ever. This will be the 7th annual Hodges Hobbies All Electric Fly-In (HHAEFI V7), and it is sure to be three solid days of fun, food, flying, and friends. This year we are proud to announce that Hodges Hobbies and Castle Creations are again our presenting sponsors! A big thanks to them for stepping up and helping to make this great event possible! Registration fee for the entire weekend is $10 during preregistration ($15 at the door). A small price to pay for 1600' of pristine putting green quality grass! If you have never been to the field you are in for a treat! There will be demo flights on Friday and Saturday starting at noon including Mac Hodges and the world famous B-29. Other performances will be announced soon. The demos will be short and action packed to allow for more open flying time. We are also planning several sessions of "Full Contact Combat". Everyone is welcomed to participate in Combat. All combat pilots must limit their aircraft to a 3s 1400mAh battery. Limited camping hookups are available. Can't wait for HHAEFI. This is my absolute favorite event/ gathering. The facility is AMAZING!! Great friends, food, field, flying and laughter!!! Thank you for this awesome event!!!

No tents allowed on the runway, in roads, in the lake, on reserved RV sites or inside the hobby shop. That leaves a good bit of real estate available for tents. We can't really say 'anywhere you want' but we will let you put your tent most anywhere its reasonable. Check with some of us who are already there when you arrive. We may be able to help you pick a good spot near but not in the way of special activities we will be running, away from the main runway. Look forward to seeing you at HHAEFI.
PS We have a frequency board at 'show center' for those of us who still use 72mhz. |
