Airbot Micro Titan 2204 test result

Thanks to the friend over at Airbot(myairbot.com) sending these motor to me for testing. Interestingly they are quite good. I am not sure if they can beat T motor up. But I believe at least they are pretty much the best at their price.

The setup is pretty simple, vertical test stand on a digital scale. I personally do not like angled ones because it is difficult to get the moment right and the moment can cause very bad accuracy problem. But unfortunately, I only have 2 5" prop to test with. might just buy a few more to see how it works with others.

Close Look,

Good matte finish

Flat base and interesting thick semi hollow shaft

About 6 inches long of silicone motor wire

CF prop adapter

Thrust - Current test. (using fixed voltage lab power supply 8v and 12v)

in comparison with Sunnysky (lower current the better)

adding the 4s test

Thrust- efficient(g/W) Curve

Summary, comparing with sunnysky, this one is definitely much better made. The sunnysky heats up after a few mins of testing, but this one you can barely feel the heat. It might have to do with its height which is about 3mm higher than the other one. Also the flat base is quite interesting, I used to have problem that the shaft and eclip rub into motor mount or something else when it didn't line up. This one all you need is the right 16/19mm mounting holes and no more worries about lining up.
What is to improve, I think adding cw/ccw set will probably be a big bonus to it, especially people are getting more aware of tighting up the prop right way to prevent it from loosing.

It actually came in set of 5, I am planning to put it on a mini frame and see how many flight time i can squeeze from it. ( I got 10mins out of sunnysky with 5" prop, 3s2200 and a GoPro on it.)

i soldered the connectors myself.. but I do like the silicone wires more than solid copper wire. longer and more flexible

Those motors looks very nice! I have high esteem for the Sunnys, if those are even better for the same price, then I am sold... However I am surprised that there's no mention of a very crucial piece of information: the weight of the motor...

I'd like to see how they perform using 4S. I'm leaning towards Cobras at the moment, but I'll give these a little more time to develop before making my purchase.

So are these the same or similar motors as the new Witespy advanced mini house motors? They look almost identical. Paul never has good descriptions of his products, so I have to rely on others for information.

mmh at 39g, it's getting pretty close to 2208 size category and almost double the weight of the Sunnies... Though with 6x4.5 props, this thing should be a screamer while staying relatively cool...

it doesn't warm up at all... when I was testing with 4s, the air is pumping up, I can't put my finger on sunnysky, but I can hold this one in hand.
