I have an eco running a performance motor with the correct pinion according to the manual. I have throttle and pitch curves from a sport motor and am running 8 cells. 2 days ago all was flying well, not tons of power but to be expected, the only prob was a lack of power around mid stick, tried loads of adjusting, but gave up. Today, same again and no idea why, any ideas would be greatly appreciated TVM

How many teeth on the pinion?

What's the pitch range?

What's your throttle and pitch curves?

Thanks for your interest toshi, the last message must seem rude just giving figures, for some reason only second half of message posted. Anyway try again, the specs are:

12 teeth on pinion, pitch curve 25 47 68 85 100, throttle 0-65-85-94-100 pitch range -2 to +9

Any ideas would be great as today, wasn't even comfortable in curcuits

Trav, put your throttle curve at 0-100-100-100-100. Then adjust the pitch curve to where you are hovering at half stick. This should help! If you have governer mode on your esc, read up on that and set it as needed....around 1900 rpm for hovor and sport flying.

thanks rob, what do I put the throttle curve to after I have set the pitch? I am using the standard ikarus speed controller and dont think it has gov mode, there is gove mode on my futaba ff9 transmitter but I don't know if this is helpful, any ideas?

If you're doing FF, this not a reasonable setup.

You are running a beginner-level semi-fixed-pitch setup.

You need to be using the idle-up mode and setting the throttle flat across at about 90-90-90-90-90.

This should give you a decent amount of power.

Also, since you are running a brushed motor, you should check if the commutator needs to be cleaned...this can cause serious power loss.
