I finally, FINALLY, ordered a 2216 1250kv motor for my Mini Talon kit that's been sitting in the garage for ages (sorry for my slowness Johnny) I can now finally start assembly and fly this thing.

One issue I ran in to was the big wing tube and clamp. It seems a little hard/tight to slide the wingson/off the center tube. My tube looks to actually be a little long and won't let the wings fully seat...so a little dremel and cutt-off wheel action is needed. I'm just wondering if there's a secret to installing and removing the wings without a whole bunch of excess pushing and pulling.

I have mine 1-2mm behind the servo wire slot on the wing immediately beside the fuselage.

It's usually tight the first time around, and should be easier after a few installations/removals. The excess tube length is quite common, just Dremel it off.

Cool. Thank you. I've put the build on hold for a few days...got a new quad in I want to finish first as I've been flying multis a lot more than fixed wings a of late.

Before I extended the wings on mine it flew really well when balanced on the servo wires where they go back around the retaining screw.

I have balanced on both but now only use the part without the bend. 1 to 2mm back is also OK.
For me it fly's perfectly when balanced on the servo wire without the bend.
