I always get the two mixed up but I think it's EPP.

It's the same as all the other Freewing Jets.

ic, I think it should be EPS since they didn't mention it anywhere, just like Banana Hobby or HobbyKing, usually if it's not EPO, they won't mention a word.

EPO is stronger material than EPS. however if you have a bad crash then there is no difference

i have six cell 5300 ma packs, can anyone who has this model let me know if these will fit the battery compartment??

You will have to modify the battery tray slightly but it should work.

And this jet is made of EPS foam.

Would anyone have any spare parts for the F-18 that would be willing to sell? I am looking for 2 wing tip missle mounts and a nose cone? I would buy from hobby lobby but I don't need a whole wing set. Just the missle mounts for the tip of the wing. Thanks.

I didn't see any mention of speed. Were you able to measure its top speed?

Just read about this in MA, and I really think I need to add one to my collection of planes. I also have 6s 5000 packs, it would be nice if they would work.

Is there room to use one 5000mah 6cell lipo and balance? I fly an e-flite DFJ Hawk now. It is good but I really like this Hornet with vector nozzles. I also had a F-100 big DFJ with 90mm fan but it was pretty doggy in performance. I am looking for a better jet and this looks like it. Thanks for the review.

I myself have a 4500mah. However I'm not sure I like that much weight in it. My other batteries are 4200mah & I flys just a bit better I think using the 4200.

Ive had 2 flights on 3000mh. Very short 3 min flts. Will go to 4000 soon. Ive enjoyed the handling of this jet so far. Lee

I myself have not......but will buy what people have used successfully.

I have seen on the ARC F18 thread, they are having ball link socket failures on the landing gear (seems about the same size).....I think they have found a micro helicopter socket that is a fit (with length mods). Maybe it is the same solution here....where we need the length for good thread length.
