Hi Gary, I've been flying the Thunder Power for a couple years now and just recently started flying them in my Champ. They are a bit on the pricey side but I love their performance.
160mah 25C http://secure.hobbyzone.com/catalog/...601SL25UM.html I've also heard good reviews on MiniAviator. IMHO, if I needed any more batts, I think I might check out one of these 190mah 25C. From UK. http://www.miniaviation.com/KM_190P.html One thing is for certain though...Eflight stock batts suck out loud (but that of course, is just me ). ![]() Mike. |

I think a LOT of us have multiple uses for these batteries and size them for that kind of use. Mike and I both use the same batteries for our Champ planes.

My flight times on my MCX is set at 6 minutes on the DX6i.
Weight of the Outrage 130mah XP15 (i assume 15C) = 3.9g Weight of the Hyperion 130mah 25C = 3.9g Weight of the Thunder Power 160mah 25C = 4.1g Do you really think .2g will make a difference? Seriously now...with all the lights and upgrades on your mcX2 ![]() Not only that, I did have two Outrage batts, one is junk after 30 flights. And I did have two Hyperions in which one is junk also after 33 flights. I have four Thunder Power that are still running strong. BTW, all batts are about the same age. The only difference is that the Thunder Power has many more flights. Why? Because I like them AND you CAN feel the difference in "OOMMFF." I don't use my Hyperion or Outrage much anymore because I simply don't trust them anymore. They are more of a test battery now. Mike. |

![]() For what it's worth, my (expensive) TP 125 and 160mah didn't last any longer than any of my other similar size batts of varying brands but they did get the most use. I'm currently using my LHS house brand which come out of the same factory as the "good" brands and the E-flite 25C ones... 5 and 6 bucks for each. Again, no shipping costs and I can have them almost instantly

Soon to be joining the club as getting an mCX2 at the off the month for my birthday and looking forward to being able to fly indoors again as only have an 120SR which I have pretty much butchered from flying in the lounge, Once fixed up the SR will only be used in parks.
Looks a great heli and a lot of fun from what people are saying. |
