6S with the right motor (Hacker A60-6XS or similar size Motrolfly) flies fine. I am wondering if the motor itself just doesn't have enough "oomph"...

I see that it can go up to 10S, but how many amps are you drawing now? You "might" have to really go down on prop size to run that many cells, and then the prop may be too small..

245kv on 10s with a 20x10 will be around 3150 watts. Good times if the motor can handle it.

Most people run around 380kv on 6s, 300kv on 8s, and 216kv on 12s. Not that many guys on 10s but 245kv is about right for that.

You should be able to go up in size on the prop....

This one works good... Could also find a deal in the classifieds for a castle.

I love my 4325-380 Everyone always asks me if it's 8s. Nope, 6s
Same here - this set-up is perfect! Light, great pull out from hover, nice top end, manageable P factor with the 19 x 10 xoar.

Just upgraded from savox 1258's to hitec 7954's, can't wait to try it later today.

3D Hobby Shop 71" AJ Slick - Build & Fly thread

My buddy has the 4325-380 in his slick and I've flown it with a 19x10 and 20x10... I would take my 12s 4330 setup over it any day. Perfect must vary with preference.
Alfa... I been pounding the 7954s for over 600 flights. Great servos at. 8.0V.

The savox's got a little sloppy after 700 flights - fine in 3d but occasional aileron flutter on WOT downlines. I tried 8s for a few flights but liked the 6s better... what do you expect from a guy that likes Alfa's???

Good to hear, these are the servos I'm looking at for a 71 build.

Thanks,
Mike

the 7954's were pokey at 6.6 V .... I may hook up a CC BEC Pro and undo my whole dual rx batt redundancy thing

or get some savox 1258 gear sets to fix the servos I have

By the time I think it all over am sure I'll end up with a new plane to balance out all the other stuff I bought ....
