I hope I can explain this. On my quad if I remove the food container that I use for a cover I can turn my quad upside down and rest it on the prop spinners. Do this on a flat surface like a table. Rotate each prop and see if the blades remain parallel to the flat surface. Try to adjust as needed to assure that all props are directing their thrust in a pure downward direction. If one if the motors is tilted to the left or right it will induce yaw in the machine. I have two Turnigy Talon frames and the motors become misaligned even after just a hard landing. I must keep a close eye on this and have found this to be a problem with those frames. Sudsy |

unequal prop thrust
Quote:
The props I have been buying are cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. I have been using these because I tend to break alot learning acro. But having unequal lift doing acro probabably contributes to my crashes. Maybe some of you can suggest a good source for props that are not too expensive ![]() In the meantime I have been experimenting making the prop thrust even by twisting the props a bit. Having good results with this so far. |

[QUOTE=zenman;23485546]I have been having tha same problem off and on (yawing, pitching, rolling, or droping and arm) and was having a hard time figuring out the source of the problem. So I built a little test rig that shows me the thrust of a prop. Checking at full throttle I can see that thrust values can vary greatly even on brand new props, sometimes even up to 30% or more.
/QUOTE] You should also check to make sure each blade of a prop tracks in the same path as the other blade. A lot of the props I've bought are not true in their track. One blade will track higher or lower that the other. |

I once had the opportunity to "track" a Navy SH-3 using the flag and crayon method. We marked the blade tips with different color crayons and with the rotor turning 100% and the pilot holding slightly up collective I had to get the flag into position so each blade hit the flag as it passed by. I only did this once. That was enough for me. Oh yea, we do it with optics now! ![]() Sudsy |

Balance the hub. Do a track check. It all leads to less vibration and more efficiency on ANY flying machine. You don't have to get technical on the track check. Just put a ruler along the bottom of your prop balancer, spin the prop and see where the tips track. |

I broke two quad arms with the below settings, can you help me adjust?
The settings worked fine in my drive way...but when i went out to a field; i beleive all it took was a strong gust of wind to send my Quad into an increasingly violent oscillation. i could be flying fine for a minute and then all the sudden it starts with a slow rock/oscillation...and then rocks further and further out of control. self level P gain : 30 P limi : 50 Misc Height dampening : 10 height Dampening limit : 20 P&I Elevation/Aileron P gain : 30 P Limit : 100 I Gain : 20 I Limit : 20 Rudder P gain : 20 P limit : 20 I gain : 20 I limit : 10 KK2 firmware 1.5 DJI 450 frame 750 kv motors, 40A turnigy plush ESC's |

Loss of Signal
Hi
I was getting ready to fly my quad and set the aux switch for self level. After setting up I disconnected the battery and was surprised to see no backlight on the lcd. On checking further I discovered there was no signal from the RX. I have swopped the RX,checked ALL connections and diconecceted the aux from both board and rx.. It starts with a beep and red light flash then just reverts to safe mode with no backlight. Any ideas please |
