Hobby King ESC Programming
I have this ESC http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=17793 on a foamy I built. I was playing with the throttle limits, and think I messed up the programming.
Did not get any instructions from HK with the ESC. Anybody know how to program this one? Thanks! Steve |

Saw that, but it's not enough.
I think I've inadvertantly messed with the timing -- although maybe this ESC does not ALLOW changes in timing? Motor and ESC USED to run good -- now the motor runs, but slowly. Tried to adjust min / max throttle, but may have messed up the ESC. Is there a way to "reset" it? I know I can do that w/ some more expensive ESC's I own (and have instruction sheets for!). Appreciate any help you can give... Steve |

So, there IS no timing adjust on this ESC that I could have messed up?
I would assume that with a Lipo, it would "auto count" the number of cells, so no adjustment there. I understand brake . Neither of these should effect how the motor & ESC work together. If the motor USED to run fast, and is now running SLOW, any other ideas as to what may be wrong? I THOUGHT I'd messed up the timing, but perhaps not... Thanks! |

do you have it set on nicad ? instead of lipo ?

Crap I'm sorry Flyboy Steve. Mine is the 18A version of that ESC not the 20 like yours. Mine HK-SS18A yours HK-SS20A.
Put throttle to full, plug in ESC battery. After you hear beep pause beep set throttle to off. Should be set for lipo. If when you plug in battery you hear beep beep pause beep beep your ESC is set for ni-XX |

Suggestion, check your 3 wires to the motor for a broken connection.

Tried to reset the ESC to "lipo" per the instructions above.
