Good times today with Chris Adams all the way from Cheyoming (4 hr round trip!), Reid R, Jim D, John Hsu, and of course the Grand Stickmaster Jon Padilla.

Great practice for all of us as we helped Jon maintain his high level of whoop azz... I enjoyed it all and the grand finale for me on my last flight before leaving ...All in for Poker.

I saw a lot of great piloting today. Can't wait to do it again.

Good Times!
John

It was a great time!

It was also cool to see Lenny and the F5B guys out there. We all had discussions about K, 3J, 5J, 3B, 5B, etc. All of us part of RMSA or out of town guests. I've never seen this much soaring diversity in other groups and it is flat out interesting with some amazing models and world class flyers. Very unique.

As for world class flyers, many thanks to JP for letting us participate in his work up to the Worlds in Croatia. Talk about feeling invested and being there in spirit!

It will be a great test and Colorado and the U.S. are represented by an amazing flyer and ambassador.

I was mesmerized watching JP and Jon Jonke work an almost non-existent low altitude puff across the circle from each other in a crazy good display of formation thermal flight. That cemented what I already knew........gonna be good.

What was I thinking:
#1 THIS is where mid-airs happen.
#2 fly smooth
#3 fly fast
#4 breathe

It certainly added to the moment, trying to maintain a safe distance from Jon's model!

Hey Bowdie,

Great seeing out there today. I forgot the name of the paint you use for your DLG. Also if you have the web-site where you got it would be great!

See you at the field!

Cheers,

John

John,
I use Createx Wicked white as a lite base coat with Wicked Color W027 - Fluorescent Orange top coat. You can clear coat with Createx or use Pledge floor care finish 2X more shine straight from the bottle. Make sure not to buy Pledge floor wax. Check out chicagoairbrushsupply.com for airbrush supplies. McGuckin hardware in Boulder stocks the right type of Pledge. Your kitchen floor may Benefit as well.

By the way, Pledge floor care finish can be airbrushed with no thinning. Start with lite coats and build up to your desired shine.
