Well done on the maiden. I have been enjoying following your build.
As others have alluded to, mixing in 40 or 50% rudder really makes a big difference on draggy scalies like this. One of my models is a similarly sized Ka-8B and I fly it with full aileron deflection up and 3:1 diff. On turns, I wait till she's at about 45 degrees of bank and then kick in some up elevator - sorta "bank and yank".

Awesome video too.
That Raglan cliff top has to one of the best soaring sites in the country. Big landing zones, styles over the fences and even a park bench or two to sit on.
All that and clean air straight off the sea.
Another reason to relocate to the Waikato.

Well done on the maiden, she looks amazing, great colour scheme. Back home in one piece with only a bit of fine tuning, sweet!
I'm looking forward to seeing more photos and more air time.

Thanks for the support guys... will get it to fly as it should .Cant give up ,spent to much time and $s now, and I built it to use. So that is what is going to happen.
Will post progress reports as I do the changes. Stay tuned
I have a small video taken for the cockpit on the maiden flight so will load and post here.
