Help a first time fixer upper
Hi everyone! I was recently given an old blue max that needs some serious help. The tail is smashed pretty good but everything else is good, I think it might have got stepped on or something dropped on it because there is no there damage to the plane. If it can't be saved it's no biggie, I can always stash the electronics for a rainy day but I hear these aren't being made any more and I'd like to try to use this as a way to get my feet wet working with balsa planes. I took a couple pics to give an idea what I'm up against.
Here is the tail end, no bueno.
It's ok forward of where the pilot would sit and I think the tail itself is probably salvageable since it doesn't seem to have any damage but in between...
Here is where I'd need to start with the new stringers and run back to the tail but I'm not sure where/how to tie the new stuff in to the existing. I wish I knew someone nearby to give me a hand here.
Since the covering over this section is clear I'm gonna have to totally rebuild it for it to look right which shouldn't be too bad, assuming I can figure out how to tie it into the rest of the fuse and the tail. If any of you have any suggestions I'd like to hear them and if you need any other pics just let me know.

that is very repairable!
first get your self some balsa stock, should only take a couple sticks too do the job!
cut back the covering, too the last solid part of the fuse, ( where the sticks are not broken)
looks like most if not all your angle pieces are still usable, find a way too brace it strait, like maybe a yard stick along the bottom or one side, while you repair the other side!
I would start with the side that still has the full bottom stringer, cut a replacement top stringer, clean up the a glue joints, so you can get a good strait fit!
looks like the upper left side, ( as looking from rear of plane) is still full length, and you might be able too just butt glue it, then scab some braces on it!
then make another bottom stringer using the good one for the length! and repeat upper step!
before you know it, you will be asking how too fix the covering!
