Love scale but mostly Slope

I have found interest in scale sailplanes and found some cool kits from FlyFly and one found in NitroPlanes
http://www.nitroplanes.com/ventus-ar...n-2600-mm.html but they are mostly are slope gliders,
have any of these Chinese brand scale kits have been successfully flown off a High Start ?

Were I live in central Massachusetts were are limited to thermal and electric

I don't mind a little work modifying these to fly off a high start

The Phoenix K8B 3500 might fill your requirements. Comes with an optional motor fitting and is available from Tower Hobbies - curently on backorder. Seems quite popular with those that have flown it.

I recommend you consider the new 3.32m Hall Cherokee II from World Models (Airborne in Livermore CA distributes to the US). It is light and nimble, and plenty hearty enough for a strong hi-start. They thermal really well, too, and the price is right, imo.

BTW, the 3.4m Minimoa they offer is also a popular design and would hi-start well, but the Cherokee is a nicer model.

I wouldn't buy anything from Nitroplanes. They cheated me, and they will likely cheat you too, at some point.
