pattern plane finished

Finally finished my pattern plane.I've only had a chance to make one brief flight, but I liked what I saw.It does nice rolls and hammerheads. I think I'm going to build another with a foam wing. This one is light but it's a little fragile. Not sure how durable it's going to be.I hope to fly it some more this weekend.

Specs: 31in span,170sq in,11.7 oz AUW,GWS 370A gearbox,APC 8x6 prop,8cell 720 nimh,3 GWS servos,and a FMA tetra reciever.

DBlum, I don't know what to say. What can anyone say? Fantastic, awesome, outstanding... none of those terms does your work justice. Every single plane you build is a work of art.

We're not worthy.

Very Nice looking plane, you are a true craftsman. I have several of the "A" boxes they do very well in planes up to around 12 ozs. or so.

Pattern Ship

Looks unbeatable, I wish I had designed it. Somehow a kit needs to be made, all lazer cut etc.

Wo Hooo!
Now that I really like Dblum!
It looks as though you should be able to pull inverted and hold it there with very little elevator. ( Something I love to do! ) Split S and Cuban eights and just about everything else in the book look do-able if the power plant can suffice.
I have gone more the route of Pylon Planes as of late. This little beauty is right up my Alley!
Wow. I think I'm sportin' balsa!

Thanks guys,I'm glad you like it.I tried to come up with something I could fly in a little wind and this might be it. The 7 oz planes are a joy to fly in ideal conditions, but any wind at all and it quickly becomes no fun. I hope to get some more time on it this weekend. On to the next project!

DBlum, this is an inspiring and remarkable model. Have you flown pattern before? Let's have some more details about the model's flight habits. Great job.
