Best first P-51D?

What would be the best P51-D Mustang to start with?
The easiest to fly that is?
Been considering the
FMS 1450mm, 1100mm Airfield, or 1300mm Art-Tech.

Also, is there anything else about that size that I haven't mentioned?

I'd Also like to avoid the usual "you can't fly this until you've flown that"
comments.

Just looking for some experienced opinions on easy flyers.

Thanks!!!

imo PZ planes are the easiest to start with. they're known to be forgiving and reliable. check out their P-51 first: http://parkzone.com/ParkFlyers/

All Mustangs if faithful to scale (and the ones you have mentioned are) will all fly (handling qualities) the same. The only difference is power. I have 2 FMS 1450 (one on 4s one on 5s), the airfield 1150 (they advertise 1100, but it's actually 1150) on 4S and the Durafly 1100mm (stock). They all fly very well

The bigger the model, as long as the wing loading is not disproportionately higher, is easier to see, and handles the winds better.

you can buy my Mountain Models P-51 "Balsa" EP NIB w/GWS mechanical Retracts and 4-bladed prop & spinner.

If it was me I would go with ParkZone

PARKZONE !!!!!!!!

Parts are easy to get and hardest part of putting it together is taking it out of the box.

+1 on the Parkzone gunfigther. You can get parts anywhere and easy to up- grade the powertrain when you're ready.

dynam p51 it flys threes and can be modded to fly fours you can use anything from an 1800 3 cell to a 3600 4 cell

props are strong and so is the hub

has retracts and a rudder something that parkzone charges extra for

props are 3 - 4bucks a pop

and the foams much stronger and all you need is a can of aluminium spray paint to keep it good as new

plus you can easily handlaunch it ...

at 119 bucks ... which

puts parkzone about 100 bucks over ...at least ...

plus its bigger and transports just as easy my only beef with it is the ez connectors which by definition give out ez ...

minor fix or red locktite on the little nuts and blue on the screws ..

These are great for starting out. Cheap and easy to fix with hot glue or shoe goo. Just buy two or three cheap battery packs, supply your own radio, and have fun...
