what is considered high pressure for an autoclave?

Some autoclaves are capable of handling 2000 psi. A shop that I was recently in was processing at 400 psi. Other use 100 or lower.

I think to go over 75-100 psi you would have to have a pretty specific reason / goal.

Many resins that are used in autoclaves have volatile organic compounds that can create voids within the laminate during cure. Using very high pressures compacts them into little voids rather than big ones.
