This is my first kit, my other balsa planes have been ARF with monokote.
I have covered the rudder with ultracote and that seemed fairly easy, I just used one piece on each side, overlapped the edge and sealed. With the wings, how may pieces should be used to complete the covering? I was thinking that I would need to cover the tips with one piece and the body of the wing with another piece wrapped from the TE up and over the LE and back to the TE.

Everyone has a different method, it depends on what works best for them.

what setting was your heat gun on. i tend to burn holes on high and don't have enough heat on low.

I started out around 225 tacking and worked up to around 300. I've burnt holes too, but with monokote and heat gun on high.

I’m almost finished with the wing. I originally wanted to put LED lights, but then I changed my mind because I've never soldered something this small before (a servo lead or two, but that's different). I Since decided to go for it, because I knew if I didn't give it a try I'd be kicking myself in the butt latter.









I know the directions state to cover first, before putting the wing halves together, but I bonded them already so there wouldn't be a seam in the middle.

Soldering the LED's turn out not to be the difficult task I thought it would be. I finished one row tonight and tested, looks nice. I'll post a video once I'm finished.
