I should be able to verify this by checking the potentiometer.
If it has normal response, then this was done on purpose by the
radio designers, and would be difficult to overcome.

As to the blades... I made an improvised balancing kit and I just finished the main blades... It is about as close as I can get it, and a roll test of the main shaft proved as close as I would dare take it...

Now the 9116 is spooled up as low as it can go, to drain the battery and its barely vibrating at low speed... I'm plenty happy, at least until the tail stuff finally gets in, at risk of being redundant

to a certain point before permanent damage occurs.

You can run it down 30%, 50% or even 80% and charge it as many times
as you want. You can charge these at any discharge level.

But if you discharge to 100%, you will only do it once, and it could even start
a fire.

I only ever drain it till it cuts out.....if that was too far then uh woops?

haha its the stock battery and I knew I would end up getting the higher mah batteries anyway.....maybe I should have ordered them with everything else since bang good apparently takes forever.

alum. plate and a small alum screw facing outward..with a little piece of silicone tubing to dampen vibrations...it might weigh a tad more (not by much),,but if it is damaged, you can just bend it back..
the canopy kinda free floats on the set up..
hope this gives you some kind of idea..post is in response to sipple31 or for anyone else for that matter..

I always run the cheapest alkaline batteries I can find & not bother with re-chargeables.
(I like to supply the rated voltage.)

A local hardware store has the "Varta" brand, Alkaline on sale for $8.90 for a pack of 30.
So, I bought a few.
I run these in my Spektrum Dx5e on my IOM yacht.

All this talk about the "dead band" on these Tx's made me think. (Hard to imagine, I know.)
I shall endeavour to check the new/spare Tx against the original.
I didn't see any great "play" in the sticks, shaft to pot region, but will investigate further.
After-all, the axis shaft is just pushed into the pot. It ain't a press fit.
(As Steve found out.)

On mine...There's a slight dead spot in the left aileron when first applied.
The right aileron works smoothly, with no hesitation.
I put this down to the mechanical set-up & not electrical. The pots measured O.K.
