Can anyone recommend motors and controller for a diy build? What do you look for in motors? and what makes one controller better than the next?

My main goal is light weight.

This youtube video says it should be released march 1, but nothing was on their website as a product. There is a wiki page with the gimbal

RC Logger X1 Micro Brushless Gimbal AMA Expo Flight (4 min 38 sec)

If it's $100 I will probably buy it (assuming it comes with a controller). I wonder if the gimbal controller they use is any good.

If not probably go with this gimbal:

or
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:224981
and those motors a while back someone was selling that were super light.
Gimbal on post 592 looks good, but I'd rather laser cut it.
Not sure what a good controller is, but yea could be a fun project.

Actually this is exactly what I need. 2 axis gimbal, mounted on the rmrc sail servo.

Just bought 2 of the servos, only thing I would change is mounting the fpv cam solely on the pan servo and not on gimbal. But otherwise yea I think I'll try to mock this up for 3d print or laser cut. The lighter and more aerodynamic the better Also probably make it modular so I can take the gimbal part on and off the servo (or quad for that matter)
