Forgive cross post with another 3dhs thread

Maidened the 48" Edge 6S beastie yesterday. Actually was a very good day. 14 batteries thru 5 planes at the field. No wind and 60 degrees and warmed up to 80 (sorry frozen northern people) The only bad thing was I forgot my alligator clips for my charger & couldn't juice up any batts.

Was not used to using my Taranis, so it felt a bit weird to fly.

Wattmeter showed 550W on a fresh charge so that's about par for the course for a 3S setup on a 48" bird using the omega 130 / motrolfly dm2815. But peak amperage was just over 23A. 2.5 min test / trim flights used 350 mAh so flight times should be right around 7 minutes... pretty OK for a light electric bird. 14x7 prop hauled it around with authority and had good vertical performance. The batteries fit easily in the tray to get the CG right, no problems balancing.

Good post stall in harrier in this plane but I'm not comfortable with a new airframe screwing around too much with low and slow. After a bunch more flights I'm sure I'll get to learning more with it .

Yeah I have RF 7.5. But real life flying is a bit different, and so is getting used to a particular airframe.

I can hover for about 15 seconds max in real life. In real flight I can hover until the power company shuts off service because I stood there hovering long enough to not pay the bill.

in quick edit crank up the throws on the 51 slick to between 50-70 on rudder and elevator (all about how your plane is setup in real life) and between 30-45 on ailerons (again personal preference) and power to 110-150% is realistic for me. feels way more relistic compared to my 51. it will actually cranshaft on RF then.
