I know. THAT is what I am telling you, and you are trying to say that popup ads are the same thing here.

They are not the same thing. RCG, as I recall, has stated that they do NOT use popup adverts. If people DO get popup adverts while browsing RCG, it is MOST likely due to malicious software running on their computer, and ISN'T the same as the thread subject, as you attempted to say.

It isn't 'Same thing, close enough for government work.'

I NEVER get popup ads from browsing RCG. I do get them from other sites, or get the blocking notice. Not from RCG though. If you do get popups here, get YOUR computer checked for adware or malware.

Your definition of pop up is irrelevant ... my definition is that they are the same as the ads which are discussed in the OP.

End of discussion.

Just to be clear - RCG does not allow pop up ads.

Pop-up ads - generally new web browser windows to display advertisements. The pop-up window containing an advertisement is usually generated by JavaScript using cross-site scripting (XSS), sometimes with a secondary payload using Adobe Flash,[1] but can also be generated by other vulnerabilities/security holes in browser security.

It doesn't matter what I called it, I was referring to the ad mentioned in the OP... that was obvious and that's why it was not relevant.

wrightme, and others, thought you meant exactly what you said (that you were getting pop up ads) which is entirely different. I don't understand why that is so difficult for you to understand.
That's fine, I'm glad we could clear it up.

It would have been simple, if you had simply said what you meant, instead of 'popup ads.'

One thing that was not mentioned yet is that if you are really bothered, you could install a Browser extension to block all ads. I don't do it simply becuase I recognize ads are the lifeline of many sites I like (RCG included) and occasionally I do click on ads I am interested in.
