My parents came to visit from arizona and bought my other boat with them.

It is a top secret shallow vee and I have had this boat since 2004 and I have not done anything with it yet.

Good looking paint job on this one.

Chances are you have enough glass on your build to sand it and get it sprayed as well

The boat is off to the painter who is supposed to prime the boat this week. I stopped by an automotive paint shop today and find some colors that I like. Next step is to wait for it to be primered and then I need to take my friend with me to buy the paint.

The boat has been primered and painted a base color of pearl white. I picked up some ppg pearl orange to get sprayed over a silver base for the leaves going on the boat.

The boat is coming along great it has the camo leave patterns down and right now it is black and pearl white. The painter just got the boat back last night and now it is time to finish up the paint job. More photos to come before the final assembly.

Should I change the bullet connectors on the end of the motor and the speed controller?

It has 3.5mm connectors but should I put 5.5 or 6mm bullets on them?

Go with 5.5's. If it came with 3.5's chances are the wire isn't big enough to support 8's

i would use 5.5 from esc to motor and 4mm from batterys to esc i find this works best for me in racing now i have blown so many speed controllers ( all with so called protection fitted )

the 4mm connection will fail before the esc goes up in smoke its like a fused link for me ,(in the worst case it will unsolder itself re solder at the lake side and your running again )

if you look under the motor coupling you can see i am using good quality 4mm connections for the power loop on my twin 780kv supercat thats only from batterys to ESC's i am getting 5min run times without problems
