I removed them. The more ventilation for the ESC and batteries the better. I cannot think of any reason not to remove them.

I was worried about the strength of fuselage, so I left them on place. I glad to hear it can be removed even difference will be hardly be recognizable, but it's always good idea to improve cooling of electric devices.
When I going to dismount front cover next time, I will remove those areas.

I doubt they would add much to the strength as they have been cut through except for small tabs.

It was to give some extra strength in the firewall I let them be in the firewall, but I "glued" them with epoxy on firewall (some extra epoxy in the cut line). That was the reason for me to keep them, but since others has removed it and it works fine without these plywood pieces I would probably remove them if I had started to assemble a Wind S 50E today. But I leave mine in the firewall since they are already glued.
