The New Mini FU-BAR Flybarless
Update: Mini Fu-Bar No Longer Available
Looking for all of the performance and features found on big name flybarless controllers at a fraction of the cost? Look no further, the Mini FU-BAR has arrived!
Precision holding power, pirouette optimization, support for just about any swashplate type, and the ability to use DSM2 satellite receivers (eliminating the need for a main receiver), the Mini FU-BAR has it all! The only thing it doesn't have is the huge price-tag found on similar name brand models.
The Mini FU-BAR doesn't come in a fancy box or even include a user manual, but it's easy enough to find the info you need to setup and use. The PC software is widely available online and easy to use. A USB cable is included as well as gyro mounting pads and receiver connection leads.
Some will love it and some will hate it, but one this is for sure...the Mini FU-BAR will provide the same performance that you find on FBL systems costing more than 4 times the price!
Save your hard earned money and build more helis with the Mini FU-BAR!
• Extremely lightweight - only 9.6g!
• Excellent performance
• Fully PC programmable
• Satellite receiver support
Sensor: 3-axis MEMS Gyro
Gyro mounting pad
Receiver connection leads
PRODUCT ID: 9426000001
*Note: The Mini FU-BAR supports both digital and analog servos.
(Some servos may not be supported correctly)
Note:You may need an external BEC, depending on your setup.
*Note: 450 PRO pilots. If you plan to use the Mini Fu-bar on your 450 PRO, you may encounter wiring issues, as the USB Link from the gyro wont be accessible, because of the AR mount.
*Note: For Windows 8 users, prior to installation of the Software and USB adapter. You must first install the _cert_driver.zip . Extract that and remember where you extracted it to. Plug in your usb adapter to your computer, then wait till windows finally recognises it. Once that's done. Go to Device Manager and find your usb adapter, it should have a mark on it ! yellow sign. Click on update driver, and browse for the folder the driver that you extracted earlier. Select that folder, then a program should appear, tick the box next to it on the left and Install the driver. Once this is done unplug the usb adapter.
Reboot the PC, and install the Software, then plug in the usb adapter, it should all be working and it should connect automatically. In the Software there should be a green color USB Connected/ Ready.
*Note*:Prior to use of the Software, please make sure your Transmitter is calibrated, and set for a New model. Make sure your motor and all servos are disconnected. Read the "Quick Start Guide". Once you have done so. Follow the "Quick Start Guide".

Where were you able to download the software from? Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger. I understand there is some type of protection in place now with the original download site?

Well you will be $ hit out of luck if it's anything like the mikado as you need to be an owner just to download their software.
Did a couple of searches for manual and software. Nothing, plus it looks like that thing requires more programming than anything. If HK doesn't have their own software or anything you may want to skip this. Looks like a headache already without any way of setting it up. Why all the hush hush on this anyway? What am I missing?

That's interesting to know. Well I was just trying to read a little more about what these are supposed to be like and reading about the mikado set up, and well it didn't look like much fun to me, this is why I brought it up. Plus I didn't find much on the HK one. Oh well I think I'm done reading about it myself.
Oh by the way, yes that's why we come here, because it's supposed to be open conversations about hardware, software and all sort of things I guess. So I'm still puzzled about that, but this is the fastest way I lose interest in anything. If I can't read anything about it, I just forget about it and move on.
