Yuri, are the linkages above rigged as you recommend? Also, what is the max servo height for a flush fit?

I would like the file. I still haven't changed my firmware (still on 1.07). I know I should do it, but do I "need" to go to 1.08 for the file to work proper?

Have you done your aentenna exit yet?

Dunno if it'll work on 1.07, im using 1.08(0)

Full length ailerons on B (reduced aileron rates), crow on throttle (always on), throttle is on H, camber on LH slider, D is an up timer.

Rename .txt to .set

Sebbe - yup 4S and 14.5x14 for the maiden.

epwierman - Mines all closed up now, but DS09's will fit flush to the wing skin on flaps, And I dunno what you'd fit flush in the aileron cutouts, D47's are about all I can think of. Mine is double carbon which might make some difference, but the wing is VERY thin

Light speed is too slow!, gonna have to go right to ludicrous speed!

I really need to go to 1.08 anyway.

I compared the X-plane wing with the Viper wing and they are about the same thickness. The X-plane wing is still twice as thick as my 53" Blast (Excite) wing...but still pretty thin none the less. The Excite is probably the thinest wing I have seen...uber thin.

Wow, that excite wing must be crazy thin for the span, does it bend??! The stiletto which is ~39" is twice the thickness of the the X's wing!

I doubt there is a single proper F5D airframe in NZ

It's super way thin. Servo area is raised to meet the edge of the servo...a little like the RW4. The wing is very stiff/strong.

I will try and get pix comparing the wings. Yes, it's crazy thin.

EDIT: Not very good luck getting good pix. Upon closer inspection, the Excite wing at the root is about 30-35% thinner, and about 40-45% thinner in the middle of each side...still much, much thinner...practically half as thick.

My vote is to go back flying for a month, then return to making kick ass toys for a few days, before taking another flying break for a few weeks...

MK2 motor mount trial fit, Mk1 was drilled for KPG25, KPG27 has different mount bolt spacing, doh, found some 125 thou T6 to make it from.

The small prop, 14.5x14, looks massive on the front, the 16x17 that is the end game prop is gonna be hugemongous!

Haha, Yuri's x-plane is a work of art.

The motor mount just stops the power system from escaping out the arts nose..

It seems Ive run into some problems, that shouldnt be there..

I have 2 megamotors, the 16/40/1 and the 16/25/1.5S

I did recieve my adapterflansche that should be the one for my KPG27 and my megas..according to the seller the FUN400/480 flansche is the RIGHT one.. OK ,,,,BUT ??? it doesent fit, look at my picture, the inner hole on the flansche is to small. megas have 10mm and the flansche has 9.5mm...

I send this pictures to the guy I did order from i Germany, explaing my situation, Then I recieved an email, and he says: the one he did sent, it is the right one for mega motors, you just have to dremel the hole up to fitt the megas.

Could someone please sort this mess up, I cant the last order, it has allready been paid for. But it wasnt so expensive..

I remember reading here that the" 3650 - Kontronik Adapterflansch SPEED480 Kurz" should be a perfect fit for a mega motor.. Im confused, but according to the first seller this it totally wrong adapter..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So just to be sure I did another new order yesterday from another place, I did order this two:

* 3600 - Kontronik Adapterflansch SPEED480
and
* 3650 - Kontronik Adapterflansch SPEED480 Kurz

Ive told the seller that I have order these two above, and he says, its wrong, wont fit,, hmm ??

Confused..
