Another slope pilot lost :(

Well as some of us found out a local pilot here in San Clemente CA Dylan Carlson took his own life just before Christmas . He was a great guy and was always up for combat; and was a good pilot to boot he'd send me walking quite often . He did have a rcgroups account, but I could never find his username; however I felt he deserved a thread for those of you on rcgroups who have known/met him up at our local slope.

Rest In Peace Dylon, you will be missed ...

Sorry to hear about this. Taking your own life is so sad. Hope he's at peace now.

Sorry ,RIP. Taking your own life is so wrong for the pain it causes for those left behind to wonder why and what could we have done to stop such a sad event ,may he be at peace but for his friends and family may they find peace and comfort from those close to them .

My wife recently lost her brother this way. It's crushing for all involved.

Sorry for the loss to the SoCal slope community and to Dylan's family and friends.

Quite frankly it pisses me off. I won't go any further in respect for those left behind grieving.

It is tragic and sad for everybody involved. It's so easy for us to say these people are wrong or selfish when a similar situation does not effect us or we do not understand. I had the same feeling until I had son that suffers from depression with suicidal thoughts for seemingly no reason. Mentally healthy people just do not take their own lives because they are sad or something bad has happened to them.

Yes they do. In the case that I went through with my best friend since childhood it was a matter of not being able to see his way out of a bad situation of his own making. It can be caused by many things, not just a mental imbalance of some type.
