Yeah, I loved my Sky500. It was very sporty as a power plane, and it would have been fun on a slope. For a thermal glider, I found the FlyZone Playmate to be better. Unfortunately, where I fly, anytime the wind was strong enough to slope soar over the church roof, it was too turbulent for me to fly the Sky500. (The problem is with me, not the Sky500.)

as thermal glider i had often two wings made to one to increase span to 65cm. but it also works well if under 31 gramms. problem of the stock sky 500 is that the prop is crap. i also tried mine with umxradian, works, but is not fast enuff. best is 4/4 or 4.5/4 cuz the faster it is the better it flys(real good slowfyer ,too)
with a 5/4.3 or 4.5/4it goes vert with good motor and batt(if cept below 40gramms auw)

I've got an airrider to join the conversion group not sure which out of the v911 board or the f939 , the f939 might be a better option doubled with its suitable gearbox and prop

"I've been picking through the pieces of my twelve bombers, and I have a couple of so-so planes that might be OK. They have some creases, but they're not totally crushed. I can pick some that are not too bad, if you like. More than half of the wings got crushed, and all of the fuselages have light creases. Also, the way they are packed at the factory, the props and prop mounts leave some dents in the wings."

Thanks Ricomon. I will send you a PM re this. Peter
