New Freewing models are arriving soon

Hello everyone,
Many customers have been asking about our next Freewing shipment so I wanted to provide an update here in our RCG forum. Our next container is due to arrive in our Illinois warehouse on our around Aug 8th. As always this date assumes no US Customs or other delays.

This latest shipment will include the following restock and new aircraft:

Freewing - Stock Replenishment:
  • B-17 Green PNP
  • F/A-18 PNP and Kits
  • Mig 15 PNP
  • F9F Panther PNP
  • Eurofighter PNP

Freewing - New Models
  • SU35 Desert Camo PNP (New Color Scheme)
  • AT-6 Grey PNP (New Color Scheme)
  • Seagull PNP (New Model EDF and prop glider, perfect for FPV)
  • Pandora PNP (New Model - high wing and low wing trainer similar to Flyzone Switch)
  • FW190 PNP (New Model)
  • SBD-5 Dauntless PNP (New Model)
  • ME262 PNP and Kits (New Model - highly anticipated German twin engine EDF)
  • F-16 PNP (New Model - w/ vectored thrust)

... and just to keep a little bit of anticipation, we will be offering a brand new, super Top Secret Jet, that I think all you EDF speed demons will enjoy.

The Freewing FW-190 is an 1100mm wingspan plane with a 3536-800Kv motor, 10x6 prop, 30A ESC, 4 9g servos, lights, and retracts. We will be adding this and the other new planes to our site over the coming days.

Hi Squinton, I'm happy to try and help you. Freewing models have many plastic parts and they use all different materials depending on the structural and load requirements for a specific part. I would need to know what specific part on what specific plane in order to help you. Also, please let me know what you want to do with the specific part. Are you looking to see which glues would work properly, etc? Perhaps I can help there too.

Hi Tom!

Thanks for the reply, I am speaking specifically about the Freewing Me262, the plastic 'screw holes'for the 4 wing screws. I intend to add a metal thread such as the picture attached, due to the need to remove and separate the wings for my small car! The type of insert I choose is influenced by the type of plastic and whether heating of the plastic is a possibility. In the case of the Me262, the provided self tapping screws are 4mm, I intend on putting a M3 thread in the ~4mm hole.

Cheers, Martin

Thanks for the detail. I'll ask them what material they use for the threaded inserts.
