Great stuff will , awesome when it all comes together looks like it likes a hard pull on the elevator like a K2m Tighten it up and it will rocket at that weight and in a big blow with some lead it will tear it up.

Well done mate

I agree with Tim. Looked like if it wad tightened up a bit it was going to get up above 250. Really looked like it wanted to go fast! You could see it is super efficient

I put the groove Armada in during the English summer.

And finaly the replacement is moving

Due to the damage on the center panel mould the release of this wing is vital. If it's good and the mould is still ok I will pull another and kick off the fuz mould.

Thanks guys
Second half is in the bag.
Now to measure and make shear webs and drag spars.

This bag sealed quite nicely. Used a tip from josh with my own tweak. I put normal bagging sheet under neath the mould. Sealed all around it and then put a layer of the super stretch over the top.

I used slow resin more to use the hardner than any thing else. Layup is the same as the first. The skins have taken about 320g of resin each. So 640g before joining. Wing should come in at well over 1kg. I don't remember how heavy the first was now.

So I have been doing the guts for a wile now. Lots of wood for the shear web. End grain balsa.

But I am a bit freaked out by the strength loss caused when I put servos in.

I was hoping to use MKS HV747 in this wing, but at its thickest the sheer web is 13mm, so getting a 15mm servo will not be pretty.

This layup was done for 1 servo, so I dont think I will be able to fit 2 servos (Mks6125's) and split the flaps. (I will look into this today. ) I don't really have the servos to put in now any way.

So I have been thinking of leaving it for now, and cutting a hole in the wing (Like most other planes). It wont have servo recesses, and I just think it will be weak. with a cross drive linkage you loose the drag spar. and now there is a 30mm x 30mm hole in the top skin. "Shivers run down my spine"

Part of me thinks just close it up, and pull it out. As said before this is a plug first and a wing second. if successful, the following wing will be the flyer, and that one I can get right.

Experimenting with super wide end grain balsa shear webs. 50mm wide. loads of extra strength for minimum weight. and Drag spar @ 15mm wide (Normally only 10mm)

I have ordered 2 MKS 6625 servos for this beast.

Following wings will use 2 MKS 6125 or similar. 2 6125's are cheaper than 1 6625, and you get a better redundancy and better load distribution over the control surface.
