Help!!! I Screwed The Pooch On My Build!

First off, do not, I repeat do NOT work on your plane(s) when having a few "adult" sodas!!!!

I messed up and just finished gluing my wing on upside down in my new Oxalys
mini from Hobby Lobby. Dang am I ssed!!!! Anyway, If all holds true on prior 3D/ aero batic planes it should still fly? At least I've seen some references to it flying great upside down as well as right side up! The weird thing is that there appears to be a tiny bit of dihedral, or maybe it's just my eyes? The reason I thought it to be weird is that I don't know of any true 3D or Pattern type planes that have dihedral? If there is none (and it's just my eyes) than I supposed it shouldn't matter that its in "upside down?"

Chime in folks....let me know what you think. I know it will fly...but will it fly right? or even good?

If it doesn't then I have a $100something dollar display model? OUCH!
BTW, I've tried to take the wings out, but didn't want to destroy the airplane before it was even in the air. I haven't tried de-bonder yet though? I used CA.

Thanks
Z

In theory if it's a symetrical wing, it should fly fine.. Sorry but the post cracked me up.

Remember to check your servo reversing, otherwise your ailerons will be backwards...

Sorry about that it's just a stupid saying that I've used for yrs

At any rate...GOOD NEWS!!!
SUCCESS! I managed to carefully take the wing out, and am now in the process of gluing it in the correct way...and I'm going to used gorilla glue so you can bet that I'll make sure it's on the right way...thanks

just get some CA debonder and pull the wing back off. you may have to reglue a few places but beats spending another 100 bones.

*chuckle* I will admit to having glued the horizontal stab on my Hyperion Miss America on upside down... I also glued the plywood servo mounts to the wrong side of the wing on my Strange Bird.

I have yet to glue an entire wing on upside down but I think this is because in most cases it's not possible on the models I've built.

Anyway, glad to hear that you got the wing off in one piece and glued back on properly!

Wow! Glad it got back together right. I think it would have flown either way.. Isn't that a flat wing?

Chill.

It's a phrase taken out of the book "The Right Stuff" that chronicles the achievements and antics of the Mercury 7 astronauts.

"Screwing the pooch" was a phrase used by test pilots way back then for a mistake.
